Associate Aerospace Engineer
About the role
Yulista Services LLC is seeking an Associate Aerospace Engineer with a background in air/spacecraft or propulsion system design, integration, and test support. This position is based in Huntsville, AL and reports to the Principal Systems Engineer for Yulista Solutions, LLC. It is a part-time position that may lead to full-time employment.
Primary Functions
- Collaborate with the lead project engineers, chief engineer, and engineering design teams to ensure that air/space craft systems meet safety of flight requirements and operate as intended.
- Support the mechanical integration of equipment and associated aircraft modification tasks.
- Aid in creating or modifying technical data packages for aviation weapons and research platforms.
- Provide aerospace engineering support for air launched effects integration and tests efforts and prototype integration facility integration efforts as required.
- Review mechanical system design for aviation systems ensuring materials, structural substantiation, and electromagnetic characteristics of avionics and mission systems meet design requirements, airworthiness, and FAA or MIL specification requirements.
- Gain familiarity with various aviation systems to support development, operations, or sustainment efforts.
- Understand, utilize, and improve internal processes and tools for the development of new systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Non-supervisory; Individual contributor working under the direction of technical leadership.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Highly self-motivated individual able to contribute to a positive work environment.
- Training in presenting to end-user customers and clients in both written and verbal formats.
- Working knowledge of MBSE/MOSA approached to weapon system design/integration.
- Working knowledge of tools such as Solid Works, CATIA, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited college/university.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance (SECRET).
- Ability to pass a drug and background screening.
