Associate Administrative Analyst – Accounting Systems

About the role

The State of California is seeking an Associate Administrative Analyst - Accounting Systems to join the Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI). This position is located in Sacramento County and offers a competitive salary range of $6,330.00 - $7,929.00 per month.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex and difficult accounting duties requiring strong analytical skills and a thorough understanding of the accounting process.
• Establish work priorities and make recommendations regarding accounting practices and principles.
• Make sound analytical decisions to protect the department's assets.
• Communicate effectively with personal contacts throughout the Department and control agencies.
• Provide consultative services and serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Financial Information Systems of California (Fl$Cal) and related reports and procedures.

Requirements

Specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) hours each month. For more details about PLP 2025, visit the California Department of Human Resources (CalHR) website.

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following qualifications:

• Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, and two years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or a related field.
• Experience: Two years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or a related field.
• Education: Possession of a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills

Strong analytical skills, understanding of the entire accounting process, and the ability to make sound analytical decisions are essential. The ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and communicate effectively with personal contacts throughout the Department and control agencies is also required.
