Associate Actuary / Sr. Actuarial Analyst, Specialty & International Pricing

What You'll Do

• Deploy traditional actuarial skills and training in new and innovative ways to provide timely, accurate, and actionable actuarial estimates that optimize Uber’s insurance program.
• Build, maintain, and improve processes including data creation and validation, actuarial analysis, internal and external communication, and financial impacts and forecasts
• Be part of a talented cross-functional team of risk managers, legal, finance stakeholders!

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related field
• Candidate with 4+ CAS Exams and a minimum of 3 years of property and casualty insurance experience
• Proficient in Excel and SQL (or similar querying language)

Preferred Qualifications

• ACAS/FCAS Designation, or equivalent
• Experience with R, Python or similar coding languages
• Experience with commercial or personal auto insurance
• Great communication and organization skills, ability to multitask and be a team player
• Balance attention to detail with swift and practical execution
• Drive to learn complex topics
• Enthusiasm about Uber!

Pay

• For New York City, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.
• For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD $131,000 per year - USD $145,000 per year.

Schedule

• All US locations: Employees are eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of compensation. Full-time employees are eligible to participate in a 401(k) plan.
