Associate, Accreditation Review

About the role

The Accreditation Review Associate will assist facilities in becoming accredited with various ACC services, specializing in Chest Pain and Heart Failure Accreditations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site or video site reviews at facilities requesting ACC accreditation services to ensure compliance with the accreditation tools.
• Engage in interactive dialogue with health care organizations during on-site visits to assess gaps and areas for improvement.
• Serve in an advisory capacity to ensure facilities understand the accreditation requirements and facilitate their success.
• Review accreditation materials submitted by facilities for completeness and adherence to the accreditation tool components.
• Participate in presentations and trade shows to educate the public and other professionals about the benefits of ACC accreditations.
• Communicate and coordinate with facilities to arrange site reviews and gather necessary documentation.
• Prepare summary reports for the Accreditation Review Committee and the reviewed facility, articulating findings, decisions, and opportunities for improvement.
• Support research projects, assist with committee development, and contribute to developing site review criteria.
• Attend mandatory training sessions and uphold the mission and vision of ACC Accreditation Services.
• Maintain confidentiality of all information provided by health care entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing
• Five years’ healthcare experience in acute care, pre-hospital emergency care, nursing, research, Cardiac Cath Lab, Transcatheter Valve, Electrophysiology services, or another cardiovascular-related medical field
• Active licensure for stated area of practice
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Represent ACC Accreditation Services in a professional manner and with integrity
• Basic knowledge of the services and standards of current best practice
• Basic knowledge of performance improvement activities and metrics
• Intermediate computer skills including spreadsheets, word processing, and email access
• Ability to think critically to analyze data and articulate findings to healthcare facilities
• High-speed internet connection availability in a work environment supporting online meeting venues
• Able to travel up to 80% of the time and work evenings or weekends as required for site reviews or trade shows
• Able to lift/carry up to 75 pounds and drive a car
• Able to work in settings with infectious diseases
• Process improvement background, preferred
• CPHQ certification, preferred

Salaries are determined based on the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education and training, internal equity, market, and business considerations. Salary ranges vary based on the local labor market; for more information, candidates should contact the ACC Recruitment Team during initial discussions.

Schedule

Accreditation Review Associates may need to travel up to 80% of the time and work evenings or weekends as required for site reviews or trade shows.
