Associate Accountant - Tax

Responsibilities

• Aid in the preparation of tax returns, extensions, quarterly estimated tax payments
• Create and request checks and mail federal and state estimated tax vouchers
• Prepare household employer payroll taxes filings
• Process electronic filing of tax returns
• Maintain tax refunds ledger
• Gain/Loss review and comparison
• Maintain tax database for tracking of all client deadlines and filings
• Tax reporting system data maintenance
• Print, collate and mail tax returns to clients
• Scan/organize electronic tax docs
• Print and mail notices to the IRS and State agencies

Requirements

• CPA or working towards becoming
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting
• Prior internship experience is preferred but not required
• Highly Preferred (Not Required) Experience with Prosystem FX engagement, CCH Axcess, Microsoft office products, QuickBooks, Xero
