About the role
The Account Manager Associate will drive revenue growth by engaging prospects, reactivating lapsed accounts, and guiding customers towards better purchasing decisions. This role requires a proven sales methodology and a deep understanding of customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Execute disciplined outbound campaigns to engage prospects and expand existing accounts
- Manage and grow a portfolio of lapsed, churned, or lagging performance accounts
- Teach customers about inventory optimization, bulk purchasing advantages, and total cost implications
- Qualify, advance, and steer sales efforts toward close
- Develop and deliver customized solution presentations
- Prepare accurate quotes, proposals, and programs based on customer requirements
- Maintain and update CRM and sales automation tools with accurate account information
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline representing 3-4x quota coverage
- Collaborate with operations, logistics, and customer service teams for seamless order fulfillment
- Achieve or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas for revenue and margin
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through tools, automation, targeting, and workflow enhancements
- Prepare and present regular performance reports, insights, and recommendations to leadership
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of B2B inside sales experience with a track record of consistently exceeding quota
- Proven success in scaling inside sales organizations in a B2B environment
- Merchant distribution experience preferred
- Proven track record of managing teams to achieve revenue and margin targets
- Excellent people and relationship skills
- Proven attention to detail
- Experience using ERP, CRM, service management, and contact center technologies, and sales performance tools
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Must be able to read and communicate in English
- Must be able to work alone, and with a team
