Responsibilities
- Understand customer needs and provide relevant solutions
- Source new sales opportunities through lead follow-up and cold calling/calling
- Develop order/bookings forecasts using Salesforce CRM
- Collect and construct market/account intelligence data
- Develop relationships with partners to expand the customer base
- Identify and lead customer dialogue to uncover opportunities
- Achieve sales lead objectives set by the VP of Sales
- Collect and generate recommendations based on customer requirements
- Instill a reputation for excellent customer service
- Represent the company and project teams in customer meetings
- Determine and document project requirements for internal stakeholders
- Interface with all business units to address customer requirements
- Manage small to medium projects as needed
- Employ high-level salesmanship, product knowledge, and understanding of customer businesses to build leads
Requirements
- A degree in engineering, business administration, advertising, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
- At least two years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study
- Two plus years’ experience working in a sales or research capacity within a manufacturing, industrial service, or custom automation operation
- Current or prior experience with JR Automation, or experience in the automation industry
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales and marketing techniques
- Effective negotiation skills
- Passion for manufacturing and automation

- Strong communication skills (listening, verbal, and written)
