About the role

Provides spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and staff. Assesses spiritual needs, provides or arranges religious services, supports families during difficult situations, and works with healthcare teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintains confidentiality, documents visits, and completes reports related to pastoral care.
• Supports patients, families, and staff during difficult situations.
• Works effectively with diverse individuals and interdisciplinary teams.
• Maintains confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Requirements

• Enrolled in accredited MDiv or MTh program upon hire.
• Required to lift objects less than 10 pounds and to sit, walk and stand for long periods of time.
• Shift days, evenings, nights, weekends and some holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree and one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

• Knowledge of pastoral care and spiritual support.
• Strong communication, counseling, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to support patients, families, and staff during difficult situations.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and accurate documentation.
