Assistive Technology & Access Coordinator
About the Role
The successful candidate will coordinate accommodation services within the Accessibility Resources Office (ARO), which works with all students on campus who identify as having a disability to provide equal access and equitable opportunities during their college experience. The ARO is part of the Enrollment and Student Success division, supporting students from admission through graduation by partnering with faculty and staff to foster student success and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct student intake appointments and review disability documentation.
- Determine and implement reasonable accommodations for students.
- Oversee assistive technology and alternative format services.
- Collaborate on campus-wide digital accessibility initiatives.
- Provide training to faculty, staff, and students on accessibility-related technologies and practices.
- Support universal design efforts across the campus community.
- Serve as the primary point person for the Accommodate system and maintain accurate records.
- Supervise student employees who support accessibility and accommodation operations.
