Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the highest standards of academic integrity and comply with all University, NCAA, and Conference regulations
  • Coach student-athletes during team practices, home, and away contests
  • Primarily responsible for instruction of position-specific skills
  • Assist with recruiting (on and off campus), scheduling, budget administration, and team promotion
  • Support the development of Women’s Softball alumni and community relations
  • Assist the Head Coach with daily, weekly, and seasonal practice planning
  • Assist with team travel, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Assist with fundraising
  • Assist with game and practice film edits
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 2-3 years of experience in softball
  • Proficiency in softball skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to manage a 2-3 hour practice
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and/or a commitment to diversity and inclusion
