Assistant Women's Basketball Coach 2

About the role

The Assistant Women's Basketball Coach 2 assists with all aspects of an NCAA Division I Basketball program, including the identification and recruitment of academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; supporting the academic progress of student-athletes; preparing and conducting individual and team practices, training, and competition; fostering the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes; organizing team and staff travel arrangements; facilitating administrative duties and paperwork; managing the distribution and ordering of team equipment and supplies; coordinating and administering Women's Basketball summer camps; and representing the sports program as needed in association with promoting and fundraising for Women's Basketball.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes
• Support the academic progress of student-athletes
• Prepare and conduct individual and team practices, training, and competition
• Foster the academic, athletic, and personal growth of student-athletes
• Organize team and staff travel arrangements
• Facilitate administrative duties and paperwork
• Manage the distribution and ordering of team equipment and supplies
• Coordinate and administer Women's Basketball summer camps
• Represent the sports program in promoting and fundraising for Women's Basketball

Requirements

• 2 - 4 years of related experience
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with athletic participants
• Sound judgment and decision-making skills
• Effective problem-solving and communication skills, verbally and in writing
• Current knowledge of applicable rules and standards of the affiliated athletic conference, the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training with a college-level program

Benefits

The full salary range for the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach 2 is $53,100.00 - $89,700.00 annually. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Pay

The full salary range for the Assistant Women's Basketball Coach 2 is $53,100.00 - $89,700.00 annually.
