ASSISTANT WAREHOUSE MANAGER - Evening or Night Shift + Retention Incentives
About the role
The Assistant Warehouse Manager oversees receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations, ensuring workplace safety and security. They assist with inventory control, fleet maintenance, and facility upkeep. They also support operational staff with daily tasks and assist the Warehouse Manager.
Responsibilities
- Maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations
- Safeguard warehouse operations and contents
- Contribute to team effort as needed
- Manage MRO levels and costs
- Assist with purchasing materials and commodity products
- Evaluate bids, negotiate prices, and manage supplier relationships
- Operate forklifts, cranes, and back saws
- Accurately read calipers and measuring instruments
- Follow up on orders and manage returns
- Operate office equipment and communicate via email and phone
- Perform physical tasks and follow safety protocols
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of supervisory or managerial experience in a warehouse setting
- Good team working and leadership skills
- Managerial skills for planning and organizing work schedules
- Interpersonal skills for verbal and written communication
- Numerical skills for basic math and inventory management
- Valid NYS Driver's License for company vehicle use
- Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and back saws
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands, and perform repetitive motions

Benefits
Retention incentives of $1000 after 90 and 180 days of continuous employment, and $1500 after 1 year of continuous employment. Must remain employed by Murphy and Nolan Inc. during the incentive periods.
Pay
Salary range is governmental minimum exempt salary up to $65,000.00 plus established performance-based incentive program.
Schedule
Regular and reliable on-site attendance is a condition of employment. Travel is required on an as needed basis to travel to other company site locations or as needed for other company business.
