Responsibilities
- Partner with warehouse personnel to ensure all packing, labeling, and shipping activities are completed in full compliance with applicable regulations and company standards.
- Utilize appropriate resources to minimize risk of penalties, prevent delays, and maintain cost-effective daily ADC operations.
- Conduct regular inspections of warehouse facilities and equipment to assess physical condition and safety.
- Initiate corrective actions as necessary to maintain a safe, efficient work environment and to safeguard merchandise throughout receiving, storage, and shipping processes.
- Supervise and actively support ADC personnel in the daily movement of merchandise into and out of the warehouse, ensuring productivity, accuracy, and adherence to established procedures.
- Cook up and document required warehouse safety training to ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Communicate regularly with the ADC Manager regarding productivity metrics, safety observations, and operational concerns identified during daily oversight of warehouse staff and equipment.
- Assume full ADC Manager responsibilities as needed, including during absences or periods of increased workload.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a two-year college degree or two years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Ability to frequently lift and move up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization.
- Ability to solve practical problems.
- Ability to operate computer systems such as Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, inventory software and order processing systems.
- Ability to safely operate forklifts, hand trucks, pallet jacks, standard safety equipment, and various office equipment.
Skills
- Common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions – dealing with standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
