Warehouse Lead Position Summary

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Aids and leads assigned activities associated with warehouse operations.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests: pulls accurate materials and places in appropriate area for customer pick-up or delivery; loads and unloads trucks as necessary.
  • Responsible for organizing, planning, coordinating, facilitating, and managing all aspects of physical inventory and storage area.
  • Manages the process of receiving, stocking, and quality control of all merchandise.
  • Oversees and coordinates maintenance of equipment.
  • Maintains performance and productivity to maximize operation excellence, which includes service, quality, and cost control.
  • Maintains health and safety compliance in accordance with company policy.
  • Assists with assigning workload, including training of warehouse staff.
  • Maintains inventory controls through minimizing materials damage and ensuring order accuracy.
  • Lifts up to 50 lbs., walks or stands for most of the shift, wears protective gear and steel-toed boots.
  • Operates a forklift.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction industry and building materials.
  • 1-3 years of experience or more is preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Will frequently move about inside the office and warehouse.
  • Must be able to lift heavy building materials up to 50 lbs. for loading/unloading.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Constantly in a warehouse environment.

  • Must be able to manage stress depending on tasks.
  • Must be able to multitask.
  • Must be able to receive and analyze information.
  • Must be able to quickly communicate solutions if problems occur.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on experience.
