Position Summary

The Assistant Vice President for Admissions provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for the University's admissions enterprise, leading undergraduate, graduate, transfer, international, and professional recruitment and admissions operations across the Brooklyn and Post campuses. Reporting to the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment, the Assistant Vice President is responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies that support institutional enrollment goals while ensuring a seamless, student-centered admissions experience.

About the Role

Provide leadership for all admissions recruitment and admissions operations across the Brooklyn and Post campuses.
Supervise Campus Directors of Admissions, admissions operations leadership, and recruitment teams, establishing performance expectations and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement comprehensive enrollment and recruitment strategies designed to achieve undergraduate, graduate, transfer, international, and professional enrollment goals.
Monitor recruitment performance through enrollment metrics, predictive analytics, and market research, making strategic adjustments to improve outcomes.
Lead national, regional, and local recruitment initiatives, expanding the University's visibility and enrollment opportunities in key domestic and international markets.
Oversee admissions operations, including application processing, credential evaluation, admissions decision workflows, CRM management, communications, and customer service standards.
Sure admissions policies, procedures, and practices are efficient, student-centered, and compliant with all applicable federal, state, accreditation, and institutional regulations.
Oversee the University's High School Scholars Program, Summer Honors College, and other pre-college initiatives that strengthen recruitment pipelines and support future enrollment growth.
Develop and expand partnerships with school districts, secondary schools, community colleges, and community organizations to increase enrollment opportunities.
Collaborate with Marketing and Communications to develop integrated recruitment campaigns, digital marketing strategies, publications, social media initiatives, and enrollment communications.
Partner with Financial Aid to support scholarship strategies and enrollment yield initiatives.
Create a seamless enrollment experience from prospect through matriculation with Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, Athletics, and other campus stakeholders.
Develop, administer, and monitor departmental budgets while ensuring effective stewardship of institutional resources.
Reward, mentor, develop, and evaluate admissions staff while promoting professional growth and leadership development.
Represent the University with prospective students and families, school counselors, community organizations, and external partners.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's degree required.
  • Seven or more years of progressively responsible leadership experience in admissions, enrollment management, or higher education administration.
  • Demonstrated success developing and implementing strategic enrollment initiatives that achieve recruitment and enrollment goals.
  • Experience managing admissions operations, enrollment technologies, CRM systems, and recruitment analytics.
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-campus teams and manage complex organizational operations.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across academic and administrative units.
