Position Summary

Montefiore Health System is seeking a strategic, relationship-driven executive to serve as Assistant Vice President (AVP), Operations & Network Development within the Faculty Practice Group (FPG).

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead physician enterprise growth initiatives, including practice acquisitions, network expansion, new site development, and practice transitions.
  • Develop business plans, operational strategies, and recommendations to support growth opportunities and investment decisions.
  • Partner with physician leaders, department chairs, unified administrators, and executive stakeholders to advance organizational priorities and execute cross-functional initiatives.
  • Serve as a key liaison for operational and network development efforts, fostering strong relationships across Montefiore Einstein and with external partners.
  • Oversee the planning, implementation, and integration of new practices, services, and operational initiatives.
  • Provide leadership to multidisciplinary teams responsible for project management, operational planning, and change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with access, capacity management, and clinical operations leaders to improve patient access, provider productivity, and practice performance.
  • Leverage operational, financial, and performance data to evaluate opportunities, measure outcomes, and support informed decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts that enhance operational effectiveness, patient experience, and organizational performance.
  • Prepare executive communications, business cases, and performance reports to support leadership decision-making.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive healthcare leadership experience within a complex, matrixed academic medical center, physician enterprise, or large integrated health system with a strong physician component.
  • Demonstrated success leading ambulatory operations, physician enterprise initiatives, business development, network growth, acquisitions, or other large-scale healthcare transformation efforts.
  • Proven change agent with experience leveraging systems thinking and data analytics to drive operational excellence, quality, financial performance, patient access, and organizational growth.
  • Experience leading quality, safety, and performance improvement initiatives that enhance clinical quality, patient experience, employee engagement, and operational effectiveness.
  • Knowledge of Epic scheduling processes and Cadence workflows.
  • Exceptional relationship management, communication, and executive influencing skills, with the ability to build trust and drive alignment across a highly matrixed organization.
