Role Description
The Assistant United States Attorney role is in the criminal division. The role involves managing federal cases, including investigating matters, drafting legal documents, and preparing pleadings, motions, and correspondence. The individual will provide legal advice on federal law issues, participate in settlement discussions, and represent the government in hearings, trials, and negotiations. Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Law, including familiarity with federal statutes, rules, and procedures.
- Trial experience
- Proficiency in legal Research, including case law analysis, statutory interpretation, and preparation of memoranda.
- Active license to practice law and good standing with a U.S. jurisdiction; prior experience in litigation or government practice is beneficial.
- Excellent written and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple matters concurrently.
