Assistant Track & Field Coach
About the role
Bethel University is seeking a Track and Field Coach to join a collaborative team in the athletics department. The primary athletic focus will be leading and developing the horizontal jumps program. Additionally, this role will oversee the daily operations, programming, and student staffing of the Student Recreation Center (SRC).
Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations and programming of the Student Recreation Center (SRC), ensuring a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for students and other users.
Collaborate with campus partners to support wellness initiatives and recreational programming.
Assist with other departmental needs and responsibilities as assigned by the Athletic Director.
Identify, evaluate, and recruit student athletes that are excellent athletically, academically, and personally.
Assist the head coach to maintain identified roster sizes.
Assist the head coach with practice planning, organization, and implementation.
Assist the head coach with game preparation and implementation.
Assist the head coach to align with MIAC and NCAA policies.
Assist the head coach with all program logistics.
Assist the head coach with player development athletically, spiritually, and academically.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: 1+ years of experience coaching Track and Field at the NCAA Level OR 3+ years of experience coaching Track and Field at the High School Level.
