Assistant Tennis Coach, Part Time

About the role

Southern New Hampshire University's traditional campus is seeking an Assistant Coach to support the Men's and Women's tennis teams. The position is part-time and reports directly to the Head Coach.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to athletes and report directly to the Head Tennis Coach.
• Aid in the creation of player performance reviews, including film analysis to prepare player-specific practice training.
• Help with game day preparation for players from evaluation and knowledge of opponents.
• Participate in the planning and strategy of the players for each team practice.
• Keep the coach informed of players' classroom performance.
• Aid in the preparation of required expense forms and NCAA and Teamworks reporting.
• Work with team captains and provide feedback to athletes.
• Attend events/recruiting showcases throughout the year.
• Organize and collect all forms necessary for a PSA recruit NCAA official visit.
• Travel with the team to away games that could involve overnight trips.
• Work with the Head Coach to support the program and its vision.

Requirements

• 1+ years of coaching experience or 3+ years of playing experience at the high school or college level.
• Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of coaching/tennis training experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience coordinating gameday set up and break down of courts, video cameras, download film, organize the hour before match tasks, and exchange of lineup with the opponent coaching staff.
• Valid drivers' license and availability for van transportation of players.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Experience with video analysis tools and court management systems.

Benefits

The position offers a competitive hourly pay range of $14.43 - $23.10, with actual offer based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, plus relevant business considerations. The target hiring range is $15.95 - $21.58 per hour.
