Responsibilities
- Executes on various tasks including the inspection, breakdown, cleaning, and stacking of organic material bins
- Wear proper PPE for duties assigned.
- Operating other equipment as assigned ie sweeper, power washers, HMI interfaces.
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment and escalates concerns to Supervisor or Managers in real time
- Forklift duties include unloading trucks and processing food waste.
- Affixes to basic PM tasks and other operational activities as assigned
- Participation in all shift handoff meetings, scheduled trainings, and other meeting as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential functions for this position and meet the physical requirements needed to perform them, including but not limited to frequently require the ability to drive a forklift, sit; hear or talk: use close vision; use hands to grasp, handle or feel objects; and type and manipulate controls.
- While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate: Must be able to lift, push, pull, carry up to 50 lbs frequently
- Must be able to bend, stand, walk, sit, kneel frequently
- Is comfortable operating equipment and repetitive tasks throughout their shift
- Is able to handle potential changes in temperature on site, humidity and wetness in working areas
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience preferred
- Experience working in a manufacturing/production environment preferred
- 6-12 months maintenance, industrial maintenance, or auto mechanic experience preferred
- Experience operating pressure washers and forklifts preferred
- Basic computer proficiency and mathematical skills
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication in English (preferred)
- Willing to work overtime
