Assistant, Technical Designer, Mainline

About the role

The Assistant Technical Designer is responsible for supporting the design team throughout the product development process. They will collaborate with Design, Product Development, and Merchandising teams to ensure timely delivery of product specifications from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with designers to ensure that all product specs align with their intentions.
• Self-check sketches and dimensions to maintain accuracy in product specs.
• Affirm final bulk pass off, updating and correcting product specs as needed.
• Maintain consistency across all factories and seasons for product specs.
• Review and correct post-market samples as needed.
• Create and maintain digital Design detail & standards libraries.
• Research product functionality trends across markets.
• Assist in CAD and artwork creation using Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Assist in organizing and maintaining the Design workroom.

Requirements

• Minimum 0-3 years of experience in fashion design or a related field.
• College degree in fashion design or a related field.
• Illustrator and Photoshop experience required.
• Raspberry AI, Adobe Firefly AI, or other product Design AI experience a plus.
• Microsoft Excel experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and email skills.
• Detailed note-taking and organizational skills.
• Construction knowledge preferred.
• Flexibility to work in-office, as needed, based on development calendar.
