Main Job Responsibilities

  • Aid the lead teacher with classroom management and activities.
  • Instruct and facilitate learning in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development areas.
  • Adhere to the center's philosophy and goals while implementing activities.
  • Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for children.
  • Maintain positive relationships with families to ensure quality care.
  • Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
  • Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. as required for the role.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous childcare experience.
  • Ability to pass all background checks.

Compensation

$17 - $17.50 per hour.

About the Role

Scribbles Center for Learning provides before and after school programs at Benjamin, Pepper Ridge, and Hudson Elementary Schools. As a part-time, afternoon assistant teacher, you will assist the lead teacher in managing the classroom and providing quality care for children.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, previous childcare experience, and the ability to pass all background checks.
