Assistant Teacher (School Age)
Main Job Responsibilities
- Aid the lead teacher with classroom management and activities.
- Instruct and facilitate learning in emotional, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development areas.
- Adhere to the center's philosophy and goals while implementing activities.
- Create and maintain a clean, safe environment for children.
- Maintain positive relationships with families to ensure quality care.
- Perform physical tasks such as sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
- Lift and carry up to 40 lbs. as required for the role.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous childcare experience.
- Ability to pass all background checks.
Compensation
$17 - $17.50 per hour.

About the Role
Scribbles Center for Learning provides before and after school programs at Benjamin, Pepper Ridge, and Hudson Elementary Schools. As a part-time, afternoon assistant teacher, you will assist the lead teacher in managing the classroom and providing quality care for children.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, previous childcare experience, and the ability to pass all background checks.
