Our Associate Teachers play a key role in Montessori classrooms, cultivating high-quality learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, preschool, and Kindergarten-aged students (birth through 6 years old). This full-time position works alongside trained Montessori Teachers as part of a teaching team to deliver on our mission of developing a lifelong love of learning in our students.

Responsibilities

• Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained Montessori teachers and work as part of a teaching team.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy.
• Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed.
• Engage in positive redirection of children and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health and care of students.

Requirements

• Minimum required CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development).
