About the Role

We are seeking an energetic, nurturing Assistant Teacher to positively impact children's lives through early childhood education. Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment.
• Engage with children in meaningful play and activities using a “learning through play” philosophy.
• Support each child’s social and emotional development and provide positive guidance.
• Respect cultural and ethnic diversity.
• Build positive and effective relationships with families.
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and entire faculty.
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations relating to childcare.
• Lift up to 50 lbs to ensure child safety and facilitate programs (for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, this includes properly lifting infants into and out of a crib).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to understand and support the education program using a “learning through play” philosophy.
• Ability to interact closely with children at their level.
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with school personnel, children, and parents.
• Must meet Illinois state qualifications for an Assistant Teacher.
