About the role
The Assistant Teacher position at King’s Schools is a full-time role located in Shoreline, WA. Responsibilities
- Model a committed Christian faith and minister to the spiritual needs of students and the school community.
- Educate students in a manner consistent with Christian tenets, integrating faith and learning.
- Teach a biblical worldview and demonstrate knowledge of the Bible.
- Engage and inspire the academic, spiritual, and emotional growth of students.
- Lead staff devotionals and support chapel attendance.
- Support the spiritual needs of students through relationship and personal modeling of a Christian faith.
- Oversee and support daily care routines such as meals, snacks, diapering, toileting, and hygiene.
- Maintain a quality, intentional, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment.
- Collaborate with supervisors, coworkers, students, and their parents.
- Perform other duties as assigned, aligning with CRISTA’s mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Christian Community Representative Commitment.
Requirements
- Washington State ECE Initial Certificate (12 credits) or equivalent.
- Two years of experience working with or teaching toddler, preschool age children or early elementary age children.
- Licenses and certifications: Child/Infant CPR and First Aid, HIV and Blood Borne Pathogen Training, Food Handlers' Card, Negative TB Skin Test, MMR Vaccination.
- Software and equipment knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Computer Technology experience, Office 365, Teams, OneNote.

- Prayfully seeks God’s will in their own lives and in their ministry at CRISTA.
- Engages the ministry including staff and colleagues through prayer, participation in spiritual practices, leading devotionals, and other spiritual practices.
- Supports and aligns with CRISTA’s Statement of Faith and Christian Community Representative Statement (CCC).
- Demonstrates professionalism and aligns with CRISTA’s mission, vision, Statement of Faith, and Christian Community Representative Commitment (CCC).
- Education: CDA or working towards one- or two-year degree in Early Childhood education or teaching experience.
- Experience: Two years prior experience working with toddler-aged children.
