About the Role
As a key member of our team at Busch Gardens, you'll play a major role in bringing happiness and excitement to guests from around the world. This position focuses on leading and developing the Park Quality team to maximize park presentation, particularly in restroom facilities, while fostering a culture of safety and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop team members of the Park Quality team.
- Execute common tasks for park quality, including top-to-bottom restroom cleaning, stocking restroom supplies, and general cleaning and sanitizing.
- Represent the organization enthusiastically by displaying a positive attitude, high energy, and commitment to quality.
- Ensure a safe environment for all team members, guests, and animals.
- Develop OJT’s and ambassadors through training, feedback, and coaching.
- Ensure compliance with all state/federal regulations, park policies, and department procedures.
- Ensure ambassadors receive break and meal periods in accordance with company policy and applicable law.
- Maintain the highest level of cleanliness in the park, conduct quality inspections, and follow up on improvement opportunities.
- Maintain inventory and restock supplies and equipment as needed.
- Monitor daily labor to align with the labor budget and daily attendance.
- Conduct equipment and safety checks in compliance with department and company standards.
- Attend to ambassadors and follow park protocol in emergency situations.
- Respond to ambassador and guest needs.
- Communicate effectively with other areas within the department and other park departments.
- Track information to complete daily and weekly reports.
Requirements
- At least 18 years of age.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Able to positively interact with guests and co-workers of all ages, ethnic/cultural backgrounds, languages, and individuals with special needs.
- Possession of a valid state driver’s license preferred.
- Able to complete provided CPR/AED training/certification.
- Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions.
- Able to climb stairs/ladders.
- Able to operate and maneuver in/around tight spaces.
- Able to use necessary equipment for cleaning.
- Comfortable with exposure to noise and vibrations.
- Able to work in all weather conditions and temperature extremes.
- Able to train on and properly use protective gear.
- Comfortable working around fumes, dust, and odor.
- Able to bend, sit, stand, squat, stoop, walk, kneel, and reach with hands and arms at various levels.
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members.
- Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
Schedule
- During peak season: at least 4 days of unrestricted availability with one day being a weekend day, and availability to work holidays.
- During the off season: at least 3 days of unrestricted availability with one day being a weekend day, and availability to work holidays.
Pay
15.00 USD per hour.
