This position is responsible for supervising employees under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, including carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Other responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, and resolving problems.
Responsibilities
- Plan, schedule, and support preventative maintenance (PM) and related work orders.
- Lead and mentor the maintenance team in performing day-to-day maintenance tasks by completing work orders and responding to production issues.
- Provide feedback to supervisors on maintenance status and email end-of-shift reports daily.
- Work efficiently with the work order system (EAM) to document repairs and PM maintenance throughout the plant.
- Perform regular inspections and light repairs on production equipment, assist in machine repairs, and perform daily housekeeping in work areas.
- Develop and document proper PM procedures (specific tasks, inspections, etc.).
- Train the maintenance team on proper repair procedures.
- Meet and maintain safety measures and ensure proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn by all maintenance personnel whenever required.
- Investigate quality concerns to determine root cause and prevent quality issues from leaving the facility.
Requirements
- Two-year technical degree is strongly preferred.
- Two or more years of related experience (including supervision) is required.
- Must be able to obtain forklift and aerial lift platform licenses.
- Proficiency with computer technology (e.g., Enterprise Asset Management software, ADP, Microsoft Office Suite such as Word, Outlook, and Excel).
Schedule
Monday through Thursday from 3:30 PM – 1:30 AM.
