About the Role

This position supports the Vision, Mission, and Values of the organization. The qualified candidate will direct and assign employees to ensure all aspects of quality product.

Responsibilities

  • Supports Allen Harim’s mission, vision, and values.
  • Communicates with associates at all levels and maintains a good attendance record.
  • Reports team member performance records to the Management team.
  • Ensures department compliance with GMP, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA standards.
  • Assists in the training of all associates.
  • Ensures team members properly wear PPE and understand safety procedures.
  • Sets daily objectives and communicates them to the team.
  • Handles paperwork relating to the department.
  • Supervises cleanup work during breaks (e.g., lunch) and between shifts to meet USDA and state requirements.
  • Acts as Supervisor when needed.
  • Works Saturdays as expected.
  • Performs all other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma with at least four years of poultry experience.
  • Knowledge of Poultry Plant or Food production.
  • PC skills required (MS Office).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills preferred.
  • High degree of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for frequent interaction with management and staff.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions consistent with essential job functions.
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directs and assigns employees to meet department objectives.
  • Communicates with all levels of employees, outside vendors, and government agencies.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to talk and hear.
  • Must stand and walk for long periods of time.
  • Must use hands and fingers, bend, sit, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Must be able to enter all areas of the plant and offices, including climbing and crawling in confined spaces.

Work Environment

The job operates in a poultry plant environment, which can be wet, hot, cold, noisy, and odorous.
