Essential Job Functions
- Communicate with supervisors and managers on daily operational activities.
- Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas.
- Plan production/staffing needs on a daily, weekly, and periodic basis.
- Work collaboratively with other areas to maximize productivity and performance.
- Maintain order accuracy and meet all order expectations.
- Conduct meetings with hourly associates to develop and train them.
- Generate productivity reports regarding labor standards and adhere to requirements.
- Supervise and coach direct reports in performing their duties.
- Ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain effective internal controls over the food safety program.
- Attend and conduct daily operational and safety meetings with hourly associates.
- Provide high visibility on shifts to ensure practices are being followed in all areas of the distribution center.
- File daily, weekly, and monthly inspections according to the master sanitation and food safety compliance regulations.
- Evaluate facility sanitary conditions daily, assess risks based on food safety and public health principles, prioritize corrective actions, and verify sanitation activities.
- Complete appropriate documentation and plan/direct sanitation activities to maintain a clean distribution center with effective operations and cost factors.
- Work with management for distribution and staffing of assigned areas.
- Monitor assigned areas during breaks and lunches to ensure work quality and compliance.
- Actively assess progress and quality of work, train, coach, and issue discipline as necessary.

Minimum Position Qualifications
- Knowledge of distribution systems.
- Self-starter and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Innovative and capable of making sound decisions.
- Good leadership skills.
- Organized and able to meet deadlines.
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Excellent computer skills: knowledge in Microsoft applications and WMS/WIN.
- One or more years of related experience in Logistics/Supply Chain.
Desired Previous Job Experience
- Previous distribution center management experience.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to walk, bend, twist, squat up to 80% of your time.
- Able to work in temperature-controlled areas ranging from -14 degrees to 34 degrees and ambient temperature up to 80% of your time.
- Talk and hear.
- Able to work at heights without fear.
- Climb stairs and/or ladders; twist upper torso, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Reach up and out with hands and arms.
- Lift up to 80 pounds and carry for short distances.
