Assistant Supervisor, Food & Beverage, Part-Time, SeaWorld San Diego

About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of guest service and satisfaction
• Lead team to deliver superior guest service
• Open and close facilities in accordance with established procedures
• Provide menu and park information to guests
• Maintain equipment and report issues to proper personnel
• Ensure meal and rest periods are provided to ambassadors
• Monitor stations to ensure food looks pleasing and is portioned correctly
• Monitor food temperatures and take appropriate action
• Supervise and train ambassadors
• Authorize ambassador over-rings
• Monitor food waste and educate ambassadors on waste procedures
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities as per organization's policies
• Represent the park with a positive attitude and high energy
• Prepare and serve food for park guests
• Clean facilities, operate kitchen equipment, and assist with training and supervision of ambassadors
• Ensure excellent guest service by responding to guest requirements, expectations, and needs
• Assist other locations and areas throughout the park as needed

Requirements

One to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful completion of ServSafe exam, Alcohol training, and Food Handlers test with a valid Food Handlers card required. Strong written/verbal communication skills. Able to frequently lift/move up to 50 pounds, stand for prolonged periods, use hands and fingers, reach, handle, feel, stoop, crawl, or kneel. Able to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment. Able to work indoors and in outdoor weather conditions.
