Assistant Supervisor

Job Summary

Major Responsibilities/Activities

• Supervise the activities of the department by adhering to established procedures and approved processes.
• Oversee and be able to troubleshoot all production operations in the department.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill production orders, meet inventory requirements, and deliver manufactured products in a timely manner.
• Provide management personnel with data-driven production updates by submitting daily reports and occasionally creating or collecting other types of production data.
• Communicate continuously and work harmoniously with supervisors in other departments, and/or shifts, to ensure that resources are deployed effectively.

Minimum Requirements

• A High School diploma, GED or equivalent with at least three years of progressive manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication experience.
• The flexibility to work on different shifts, when required, to meet production or project goals.
• Experience in overseeing a continuous assembly line is a plus.

• Be able to safely lift or move at least 50lbs.
• Be able to safely climb stairs or a ladder.
