Program

Residential Services
Location: Queens
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday; 3pm-11pm

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support.
• Provide appropriate, therapeutically documented level of supervision.
• Provide program/floor coverage.
• Promote and maintain the excellence of our programs.
• Involving family members and other stakeholders in the team process.
• Keep staff informed by attending meetings and delivering "the message" consistently.
• Foster professional development through regular supervision, training, and evaluations.
• Supervise staff to ensure they meet the needs of the people we support, agency standards, and develop professionally.
• Bring the organizational culture to life.
• Maintain a work environment free from harassment and discrimination.
• Participate in the hiring process.
• Build staff morale.
• Utilize participatory management.
• Foster the Open-Door Policy.
• Nurture staff development.
• Supervise/manage teams.
• Maintain oversight and compliance of systems specific to role and responsibilities.
• Foster communication between relevant supports including those within the program, within the agency, and supports outside the agency.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Some College Preferred
• Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred
• Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred

• The ability to accept and apply feedback
• Highly flexible personality type

Benefits

Compensation: $23.10/hour
