Program
Residential Services
Location: Queens
Schedule: Tuesday - Saturday; 3pm-11pm
Responsibilities
- Ensure the health, safety, and habilitation of the people we support.
- Provide appropriate, therapeutically documented level of supervision.
- Provide program/floor coverage.
- Promote and maintain the excellence of our programs.
- Involving family members and other stakeholders in the team process.
- Keep staff informed by attending meetings and delivering "the message" consistently.
- Foster professional development through regular supervision, training, and evaluations.
- Supervise staff to ensure they meet the needs of the people we support, agency standards, and develop professionally.
- Bring the organizational culture to life.
- Maintain a work environment free from harassment and discrimination.
- Participate in the hiring process.
- Build staff morale.
- Utilize participatory management.
- Foster the Open-Door Policy.
- Nurture staff development.
- Supervise/manage teams.
- Maintain oversight and compliance of systems specific to role and responsibilities.
- Foster communication between relevant supports including those within the program, within the agency, and supports outside the agency.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Some College Preferred
- Prior Direct Support Professional experience preferred
- Background in supporting people with intellectual/developmental disabilities or mental health preferred
Skills
- Interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed writing skills
- The ability to accept and apply feedback
- Highly flexible personality type
Benefits
Compensation: $23.10/hour
