Assistant Superintendent- Mission Critical
About the role
Suffolk is seeking an Assistant Superintendent, Mission Critical to join our dynamic team. This role is responsible for planning and executing the construction program according to Suffolk’s procedures, focusing on safety, quality, and schedule.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and distribute construction documents to the project team, including Plans, Specifications, RFI’s, Bulletins, and Field Reports
- Manage layout and verify subcontractor layout for compliance with established line and grade
- Administer Suffolk’s Quality Management Program, particularly the First Delivery and Benchmark Inspections
- Document deficiencies and track their resolution
- Monitor job progress on-site, ensuring compliance with Contract Documents
- Create and distribute daily and weekly work plans, including schedules and logistics plans
- Attend and participate in meetings with customers and clients, providing updates and addressing concerns
- Compile and maintain all necessary permits, tests, and inspections for successful project completion and acceptance
- Supervise and mentor Field Engineers in their daily work
- Communicate clear safety expectations to project teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred
- 2+ years of experience in mission critical/data center construction
- Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
- Strong sense of urgency and excellent communication skills
- Strong time management and multi-tasking skills
