Assistant Superintendent
Position Summary
The Assistant Superintendent position is the first step in taking a larger field leadership role on our complex projects, and is the first step towards preparing individuals to become field Superintendents. The Assistant Superintendent works closely with the Project Manager and Superintendent to ensure timely, quality, and successful completion of the project. They may be solely responsible for a segment of the project, and/or have Engineers/Interns reporting to them.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Project Manager in establishing the Project Chart of Accounts
- Aid the Project Manager and Superintendent in the development and updating of the CPM Construction Schedule
- Aid the Project Manager in the development of the Subcontracts and Purchase Orders
- Provide administrative support for the Project Superintendent
- Lead the Project Staff and analyze job costs, maintaining accurate reports
- Manage and track the monthly Owner Payment Application
- Track, review, and process Change Proposal Requests, Change Orders, and claims (if applicable)
- Aid the Project Manager in analyzing and completing the Quarterly Profit Projection Reports
- Analyze and prepare quantity reports and labor cost analyses
- Implement all applicable safety programs, EEO programs, and Affirmative Action Program on the Project
- Manage the preparation and execution of the Project closeout process
Qualifications
- 4-7 Years of construction project experience required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, or Engineering required, or equivalent working experience
- General knowledge of construction principles/processes required
- Experience with self-perform work required
- Proven commitment to Safety and building relationships with the Owner
- Experience managing field staff

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional overtime as needed.
