Responsibilities

• Assisting the Superintendent in the management of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Overseeing the daily operations at the construction site, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget.
• Reading and understanding blueprints, building codes, and project scheduling.
• Ensuring all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety programs, requirements, and work rules.
• Handling risk management issues by implementing proactive strategies and responding to issues as they arise.
• Managing subcontractors effectively, ensuring their tasks are completed as expected, and addressing any issues or delays.
• Working closely with the project team to address any potential obstacles and quickly resolve any issues that may arise.
• Conducting regular inspections to ensure that the work meets or exceeds standards, that schedules are being followed, and that workers are adhering to safety rules and regulations.
• Reporting regularly to the Superintendent about project status and issues that may impact client relations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of commercial construction experience
• Previous experience working in the field for a general contractor
• Multifamily, residential, or large-scale commercial construction experience preferred
• Strong understanding of construction plans, schedules, and sequencing
• Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and project teams
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
• OSHA 30 certification preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or a related field is preferred, but not required

Pay

$95,000 - $130,000 per year
