Assistant Store Manager

About the role

The Assistant in Training (AIT) and Assistant Manager positions are integral to fulfilling our mission of providing the best shopping experience for guests. They are responsible for a wide range of tasks including sales, merchandising, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with a friendly, engaging attitude and provide exceptional service.
• Answer questions about the store and its merchandise, recommend and select products, and assist in locating or obtaining merchandise.
• Help guests with their purchases, manage returns and exchanges, and ensure compliance with store policies.
• Use the Sales Presentation Guide (SPG) to achieve sales goals and maintain a high level of showmanship and customer service.
• Investigate ways to expand guest selection and maintain a positive relationship with guests to foster a client-based business model.
• Recruit, train, and develop new teammates, ensuring they meet and exceed Buckle's standards.
• Manage visual merchandise displays and ensure adherence to store visual standards.
• Work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Follow loss prevention guidelines and report any security risks or thefts.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills, a passion for fashion, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Previous retail experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Basic computer literacy and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Pay

The hourly wage range for this position is $20-$24.
