Position Overview

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for leading the store to deliver outstanding customer service, meet operational objectives, and follow company policies.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain exemplary customer service within the store and build relationships with customers
  • Establish a strong customer service culture within the store
  • Aid the Store Manager in implementing strategies to meet store goals and objectives
  • Aid the Store Manager in recruiting, developing, and motivating team members
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Perform the responsibilities of a Customer Service Representative and supervise CSR activities in the absence of the Store Manager
  • Analyze financial statements and trends to increase sales
  • Resolve customer complaints for increased customer satisfaction
  • Manage schedules, cash, and store audits
  • Review Operations Bulletins, News communications, and training materials
  • Help maintain a clean and welcoming store environment
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

  • A minimum of one year of management experience in industries such as hospitality, financial services, retail, and restaurant
  • Ability to engage with customers and develop positive relationships
  • Strong desire to exceed company initiatives and inspire excellence in a team
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High-energy, collaborative management experience
  • Professional appearance and demeanor
  • Able to work flexible hours, including early morning, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • English fluency is required; English/Spanish bilingual is a plus

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. with little assistance
  • Must be able to work in restrictive spaces and maintain concentration in a busy environment with moderate to high noise levels
  • Must manage several tasks at one time and handle frequent interruptions to meet customer needs
