Essential Job Functions

Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.

Supervise the customer service levels on the retail showroom to include team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).

Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late-afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).

Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and making sure team members are staying current on their individual training.

Aid in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to ensure the selection of qualified team members.

Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.

Avoid delays in processing buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders.

Ensure all buy online/ship to store, hub and store to store transfers, and DC add orders are processed in a timely manner and customers are contacted upon shipment arrivals as needed.

Utilize electronic outside purchase order ledger to ensure special orders and outside purchases are handled efficiently and according to procedure.

Avoid delays in processing retail customer returns and exchanges.

Avoid delays in issuing refunds accurately using the correct payment methods and processing returned merchandise correctly.

Avoid delays in invoicing all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, before product leaves the store.

Avoid delays in communicating Zipline messages, delegating Image Maker and merchandising tasks, and ensuring all team members are complying with company policies.

Avoid delays in performing store opening/closing duties, including day end procedures, verifying/securing money/deposits according to company policy, preparing bank deposits as needed, ensuring all night security lights are on, locking doors and securing building, arming/disarming security alarms, and checking/securing/locking delivery vehicle(s) parked in a secure designated area.

Avoid delays in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in-store service/test equipment, and delivery vehicles.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

  • Sales Specialist Training
  • Assistant Manager Certification
  • RSS Certification
  • Certified Parts Professional Certification
  • ASE Certification
  • Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired)
