Assistant Store Manager
About the role
With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be a key member of the Store Leadership Team, assisting the Store Manager to ensure effective store operations.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
- Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
- Aid the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff, as necessary.
- Offer coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met.
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
- Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing action plans to address issues related to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.
Requirements
- No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in a similar position or specialization
- Ability to operate a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone
- Judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
- Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information with the store leadership team, associates, and consumers
