About the role

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our Store Leadership Teams are essential to our business. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be a key member of the Store Leadership Team, assisting the Store Manager to ensure effective store operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to store staff, including supervisors and associates.
  • Execute and support plans to enhance employee productivity and performance.
  • Aid the Store Manager in interviewing, hiring, training, and coaching staff, as necessary.
  • Offer coaching and direction on a day-to-day basis to ensure staff performance standards are met.
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
  • Support the Store Manager in developing and implementing action plans to address issues related to store sales, goals, safety, training, and personnel development.

Requirements

  • No specific education required (High School Diploma or GED preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar position or specialization
  • Ability to operate a Point of Sales (POS) system, other in-store computerized systems, and telephone
  • Judgment to identify and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
  • Effective communication skills; able to exchange ideas and information with the store leadership team, associates, and consumers
