About the role
The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.
Responsibilities
Brings supervision and support to the direction planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty in assigned stores.
Ensures all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc., and acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.
Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.
Supports the development and training of the team to achieve positive results, identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate, and addresses them through coaching or counseling.
Holds the team accountable to Company policies and expectations, maintains positive associate relations, and resolves concerns.
Maintains consistent and timely communication with the Store Manager, builds strong working relationships with peers, and fosters an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.
Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement, and manages inventory, payroll hours, and store opening/closing procedures.
Ensures compliance with all HAZMAT training and execution, analyzes and utilizes available reporting, tools, and technology, and protects company assets by preventing shrink, damages, and bank-related issues.
Requirements
A High School Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience
At least 1+ year(s) of prior management experience
Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives
Effectively communicates with team and management
Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business
Cosmetology license desirable, but not required
