About the role

The Assistant Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in managing and developing a team of associates, ensuring optimal customer experiences, and maintaining brand standards.

Responsibilities

  • Brings supervision and support to the direction planning of associates' daily goals and activities to deliver exceptional client experiences, maximizing sales/KPIs, and driving customer loyalty in assigned stores.

  • Ensures all brand standards are met, including merchandising, POGs, marketing, back rooms, dress code, etc., and acts as the main point of contact to resolve customer issues and concerns.

  • Analyzes store trends and anticipates customer demands.

  • Supports the development and training of the team to achieve positive results, identifies strengths and opportunities for each associate, and addresses them through coaching or counseling.

  • Holds the team accountable to Company policies and expectations, maintains positive associate relations, and resolves concerns.

  • Maintains consistent and timely communication with the Store Manager, builds strong working relationships with peers, and fosters an environment of diversity, inclusion, and belonging.

  • Ensures execution of all company processes through training, management, analysis, and continuous improvement, and manages inventory, payroll hours, and store opening/closing procedures.

  • Ensures compliance with all HAZMAT training and execution, analyzes and utilizes available reporting, tools, and technology, and protects company assets by preventing shrink, damages, and bank-related issues.

Requirements

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent

  • At least 18 years of age

  • Minimum 3+ years of retail sales/customer service experience

  • At least 1+ year(s) of prior management experience

  • Ability to lead or support a team of associates to meet business objectives

  • Effectively communicates with team and management

  • Scheduling availability to meet the needs of the business

  • Cosmetology license desirable, but not required

Knowledge, Skills/Abilities and Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
