Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

About the role

The Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) position at 7-Eleven, Inc. is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a store, providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees. The Retail Assistant Manager role involves working as part of a management team, offering full-time hours, and gaining valuable management and leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, alongside the Store Leader, for all store employees.
• Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Aid in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Competent in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting the loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel).
• High School diploma or GED preferred with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance.
• The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Must have a valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance. Must have a High School diploma or GED and at least one year of Retail Management experience. Must be able to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
