Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

About the role

We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team as an Assistant Store Leader Trainee. This role offers full-time hours and valuable management and leadership experience with competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader.
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Aid in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote our loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate effectively and maintain interpersonal relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Perform tasks such as multi-tasking, bending, standing, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching.
• Demonstrated strength in maintaining high retention by focusing on applicant identification, leader development, employee empowerment, and productivity enhancement.
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting our loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft products (Word, Excel).
• A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance.

• One year of Retail Management experience.
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance.
• The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
