About the role

As a Retail Assistant Manager at 7-Eleven, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing a team of store employees. Your responsibilities will include overseeing customer service, training, and coaching, as well as assisting in implementing merchandising and marketing programs.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees.
  • Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
  • Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
  • Perform tasks such as multi-tasking, bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A High School diploma or GED, or at least one year of Retail Management experience.
  • A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence, along with automotive liability insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle physical demands.
