Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

About the role

As a Retail Assistant Manager at 7-Eleven, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees. You will also assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs, maintain a clean and safe environment, and manage cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees.
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Aid in the implementation of all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Perform tasks requiring physical effort, including bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• At least one year of retail management experience or a high school diploma/GED equivalent.
• A valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is preferred but not required for candidates with one year of retail management experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel).

• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer skills, particularly proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
