Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

About the role

We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team as an Assistant Store Leader Trainee. This role offers full-time hours and provides valuable management and leadership experience with competitive pay.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader.
• Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote our loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and demonstrate interpersonal skills.
• Show proficiency in computer knowledge, particularly Microsoft products like Word and Excel.
• Have a High School diploma or GED, or at least one year of Retail Management experience, along with a valid driver's license and auto liability insurance.
• Be able to multitask, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Requirements

Must have a valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment.

Qualifications

A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
