About the role
We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. This role offers full-time hours and a valuable management and leadership experience with competitive pay.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader.
- Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
- Aid in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
- Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote our loyalty program.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and interact professionally with colleagues and customers.
- Perform tasks such as multi-tasking, bending, standing, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required for candidates with one year of Retail Management experience.
- Valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance.
Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Strong commitment to customer service and employee development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Skills
- Customer service leadership and coaching skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office products preferred).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Physical stamina for lifting and bending.
