Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)

About the role

The Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) role at Speedway7-Eleven involves overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees. This position is committed to ensuring proper training for excellent customer service and promoting a "promote from within" philosophy.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, alongside the Store Leader, for all store employees.
• Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
• Aid in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Communicate effectively and possess excellent oral and written skills.
• Show proficiency in computer knowledge, particularly Microsoft products like Word and Excel.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
• A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during employment.
• The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Ability to assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
• Competency in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting the loyalty program.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
• Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Proficient computer knowledge (Microsoft products preferred).
