About the role

We are seeking a Retail Assistant Manager to join our team as an Assistant Store Leader Trainee. This role offers full-time hours and a valuable management and leadership experience with competitive pay.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching for all store employees alongside the Store Leader.
  • Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
  • Aid in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
  • Manage cash handling, fuel transactions, and promote our loyalty program.
  • Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with health and sanitation procedures.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and build positive relationships with employees and customers.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • At least one year of retail management experience or a high school diploma/GED with relevant experience.
  • A valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring bending, standing, and reaching.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with one year of retail management experience.
  • Experience with cash handling, fuel transactions, and loyalty programs.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of health and sanitation procedures.
