Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager)
About the role
The Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) role at 7-Eleven, Inc. is responsible for overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees. This position offers full-time hours and a valuable management and leadership experience with competitive pay.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching, alongside the Store Leader, for all store employees.
- Maintain high retention by focusing on identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging employee productivity.
- Aid in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
- Competent in cash handling, fuel transactions, and promoting the loyalty program.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by complying with all health and sanitation procedures.
- Excellent oral and written communication and intrapersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft products, particularly Word and Excel.
- A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but not required for candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience.
- A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence while maintaining automotive liability insurance during course of employment.
- The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Requirements
Minimum requirements include a High School diploma or GED, at least one year of Retail Management experience, a valid Driver’s License, and automotive liability insurance. Essential functions require the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, handle cash transactions, and maintain a clean, safe environment.
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate a strong focus on employee development, customer service excellence, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Previous supervisory experience is highly desirable.
