About the role
The Assistant Store Leader (Assistant Manager) position at Speedway 7-Eleven involves overseeing and providing customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees. This role requires a strong focus on employee development and retention, as well as the ability to implement merchandising and marketing programs. Essential functions include managing cash transactions, promoting the loyalty program, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and provide customer service leadership, training, and coaching to all store employees.
- Maintain high retention by identifying qualified applicants, developing leaders, empowering employees, and encouraging productivity.
- Assist in implementing all merchandising and marketing programs.
- Competently handle cash transactions, fuel transactions, and promote the loyalty program.
- Maintain a clean, safe environment by adhering to health and sanitation procedures.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and possess strong interpersonal skills.
- Utilize proficient computer knowledge, particularly Microsoft products like Word and Excel.
Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED is preferred, but candidates with at least one year of Retail Management experience are also considered.
- A valid Driver’s License from the state of residence, along with automotive liability insurance, is required during employment.
- The ability to multi-task, perform repeated bending, standing, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 50 pounds is necessary.
